FrontRunners: Fancy a Bid

Among the items available for sale this spring at Bonhams & Butterfields Fine European Furniture and Decorative Arts auction (www.bonhams.com) in Los Angeles are a Régence-style regulateur clock and plaques from a private collection of Berlin KPM porcelain. A circa-1890 mantel clock, which is estimated to fetch between $8,000 and $12,000, features an eight-day movement and a French gilt design with bronze and rouge marble. The March 29 sale will be the first of six fine-furniture auctions that Bonhams & Butterfields will hold this year in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco.
