  • Christina Garofalo

Interior designer Muriel Brandolini will open her home to the public, in a manner of speaking, on October 8 with an installation of her personal furniture collection at Manhattan gallery Phillips de Pury & Co. The exhibition will beon view at Phillips’ Park Avenue flagship location, and will conclude with an auction of the designer’s furnishings on October 21.

Brandolini’s collection comprises the work of contemporary designers including Martin Szekely, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, and Ron Arad. A few highlights will be a shelving unit by Sean Yoo (estimate: $800 to $1,200) and a papier mâché mirror by Chuck Price ($1,000 to $1,500). The event coincides with the publication of the designer’s new book, The World of Muriel Brandolini, which explores the evolution of her work, and with the opening of her first boutique, at Barneys New York.
