Aston Martin and Robb Report Announce V8 Vantage Roadster Limited Edition Series

Irvine, California - Aston Martin North America and luxury lifestyle authority Robb Report have joined together to create the most exclusive roadster yet. The Robb Report Limited Edition V8 Vantage Roadster series celebrates the designation of the V8 Vantage Roadster by Robb Report editors as one of the world’s most desirable convertibles in the magazine’s 21st annual “Best of the Best” special issue. This bespoke series will be limited to only seven vehicles, numbered 001 through 007, each will boast a triple black color scheme, Aston Martin’s latest Sportshift transmission, and a series of unique features.

The range of exterior features, which add to the unique and sophisticated identity of the seven cars, include a six-bar front grille, hand-finished magnum silver bonnet and side strake mesh grilles, clear rear brake lamp lenses,  a magnum silver rear diffuser blade and a distinctive racing-derived lower body sill.

The Roadsters’ interiors will be accentuated by a sleek piano-black wood finish and a DBS steering wheel with centre line stitching.  In addition, the seating compartment will feature black carpet overmats, a black sill plate, a personalized sill insert and black leather seats. Each of the cars is also fitted with a set of Aston Martin luggage in black sport-performance fabric with contrasting polished saddle leather. Exclusively designed by Aston Martin, each piece of luggage has been individually hand-made and features the unique designation of Robb Report Limited Edition.

The high performance sports cars will be powered by Aston Martin’s latest 4.7-liter V-8 engine, a light, compact, all-alloy unit that provides extremely impressive response throughout the rev range.  Generating 420 horsepower, the front mid-engine layout and rear mid-mounted transmission provides the optimum front-to-rear weight distribution and handling characteristics. Fitted with the electro-hydraulic Sportshift transmission precision gear shifts are achieved in around 200 milliseconds through the paddle-shift operated gearbox and provides an involving driver experience.

Hand-crafted at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, England, The Robb Report Limited Edition V8 Vantage Roadster, priced starting at $153,000, is now available for bespoke ordering.  Potential buyers are asked to register their interest through Aston Martin North America (1 888 703 9660).
