For all of its race-inspired attributes, the Porsche Carrera GT is equally at home on highways and back roads. The 612 hp, 5.7-liter V-10 engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission that exploits the engine’s flexible power, while Porsche’s effective traction control helps non-racers to toe the line. If any supercar can be considered a daily driver, the Carrera GT is it.

However, you cannot fully appreciate the GT without spending some time with it on the track. This gift from Porsche Cars North America includes the Carrera GT plus expert racing instruction so that you can master this exclusive machine. Porsche will fly you and a guest from anywhere in the United States to San Francisco for some high-speed driver’s ed at Infineon Raceway (formerly Sears Point) in Sonoma, Calif. You will also receive a set of Porsche Selection Cockpit Luggage, in a color that matches the interior of your new car, as well as additional Porsche Selection items.

In San Francisco, you will stay at the Fairmont for two nights, enjoying its spa facilities and nearby golfing venues. From there, you will drive a Cayenne Turbo (which will be at your disposal during your stay in San Francisco) to Sonoma, where you will spend two nights at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. A restful sleep the first night will prepare you for a visit to the track, which will be all yours—alone—for the entire day. There, your new Carrera GT and your world-class driving instructor will greet you. Champion driver Hurley Haywood, who has starred in endurance races at Daytona, Sebring, and Le Mans, will show you how to find the perfect line around Infineon in the 205 mph Carrera GT. At the end of the day, after you have mastered the course, enjoy a spa treatment while your Carrera GT is being shipped to your home.
Price: $490,000. (The Porsche Carrera GT alone is priced at $440,000.)

Contact: Porsche Driving Experience, 888.204.7474, www.porschedriving.com. If Infineon Raceway is not available, the driving lessons will be conducted at Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, approximately 90 miles northwest of Montreal.
