Best Things First: Auto Mall

<< Back to Robb Report, June 2004

The Scottsdale 101 Auto Collection, covering 41 acres in Scottsdale, Ariz., is home to showrooms for 11 different marques, including Porsche, BMW, Mini, Jaguar, Aston Martin, and Audi. Prospective buyers take test-drives on a quarter-mile-long track that rings an off-road test track with hills, railroad ties, and a waterfall—ideal terrain for putting a new Land Rover through its paces. Every marque that sells branded merchandise maintains a boutique at its respective dealership. Also on site is a racing museum that displays winning Penske team cars, a café, a detailing facility that can handle as many as 700 vehicles a day, and a rental car outlet.
