Best of the Best 2011: Specialty Vehicles: Executive Transport: Becker JetVan

  • Becker JetVan

Based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Becker Automotive Design’s JetVan can coddle passengers in the manner of a Maybach while offering them a host of high-tech communication devices. The latest version of the JetVan is equipped with the Sprinter’s all-new clean-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 BlueTEC engine. The vehicle now has a range of more than 400 miles.

The engine and the body shell are essentially all that remain from the Sprinter; Becker begins each made-to-order project by gutting the van’s interior. The JetVan is available in six different configurations and ranges in price from $225,000 to $400,000, depending on its options and amenities. Choices include Wi-Fi, an LCD screen for videoconferencing, and surround-sound audio.
