FrontRunners: Green Monster

Italian clothing label Diesel, a sponsor of Ducati’s MotoGP team, collaborated with the motorcycle brand to create the rugged-looking Ducati Monster Diesel (www.ducati.com), which will arrive this summer. The $13,800 bike features a military-inspired color scheme of matte green and matte black. Like the Monster 1100 Evo on which it is based, the Diesel weighs only 373 pounds and is powered by a 1,100 cc twin desmodromic engine that produces 100 hp and 76 ft lbs of torque. In addition to the paint job, other features that distinguish the Diesel from the Evo include slightly higher handlebars, a more comfortable seat, and new aluminum air intakes.
