FrontRunners: More-and-Less Mercedes

    The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG (www.mbusa.com) is more powerful, more energy-efficient, and more eco-friendly than last year’s model. Mercedes has replaced the car’s 6.2-liter normally aspirated engine with a 5.5-liter bi-turbo V-8 that produces 536 hp and 590 ft lbs of torque (even more with the optional AMG Performance Package). The new engine and other updates reduce the car’s fuel consumption and emissions by almost 30 percent compared to last year’s model.
