Mercedes-Benz G55 AMG

After 30 years of production, the Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen (or G-Class for short) is a timeless classic. The rough-and-tumble G55 AMG comes equipped with the ultimate noisemaker: a raucous 500-hp, 5.5-liter supercharged V-8. This old AMG-tuned engine enables the 5,610-pound tank to reach 60 mph in 5.4 seconds, but its top speed is electronically limited at 130 mph. Originally designed and built as a light military vehicle for the German Army, the G-Class' rugged, boxed-shape exterior design (similar to the old Land Rover Defender) showcases its aptitude for off-road terrain. The interior is relatively sparse considering this is a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, but its rough-edge qualities give it the character that has kept it popular for so long. It's quite an experience to drive a Geländewagen, and if Mercedes-Benz is smart, they'll keep it that way for another 30 years. Pros: Rugged good looks.
