The Audi Sports Car Experience: Be a Race Car Driver for a Day

  • Alexandra Foster

The Jim Russell Racing Drivers School has partnered with Audi to create the Audi Sportscar Experience, a hands-on driving event designed for performance-car enthusiasts that allows drivers to try out the Audi TTS, S4, S5, S8 sedan, and R8 sports car. The Audi Sportscar Experience features five programs, including half-, full-, and two-day courses, all run from the Audi Forum Sonoma located trackside at Turn 1 of Infineon Raceway in Sonoma Valley, California. The 2.5-mile Infineon course includes 160-foot elevation changes and challenging corners, and beginning in October the Experience will introduce the new Audi R8 5.2 FSI Quattro to the R8 programs. The S-model one-day program allows drivers to take laps in the Audi TTS, S4, S5, S8 and R8, for $1,395. (www.audidrivingexperience.com)
