Best of the Best 2012: Business Aircraft: Entry Level: Embraer Phenom 100

The capabilities and cost savings associated with the Embraer Phenom 100 (954.359.3700, www.embraerexecutivejets.com) have made it the world’s most-delivered business jet in recent years (100 units delivered in 2010 and 41 in 2011). The Phenom 100 can fly as many as six passengers and their luggage 1,000 miles nonstop at a speed of nearly 450 mph. (The jet’s maximum range is close to 1,400 miles with four passengers; capacity is eight passengers.) With a price just over $4 million and fuel burn significantly lower than 100 gallons per hour, the Phenom 100 is also an attractive choice for regional charter providers, such as Southern California–based JetSuite, whose 13-jet fleet is composed entirely of Phenom 100s.
