Elbow room should not be an issue in the Hawker 900XP (316.676.0800, www.hawkerbeechcraft.com), because its cabin is 5 feet 9 inches tall and a full 6 feet wide, giving the jet a cross section that is noticeably larger than those of other jets in this category. The cabin also is more than 21 feet long and can accommodate nine passengers. Larger, more powerful engines give this Hawker greater performance than the 850XP that preceded it: Its cruising speed is faster than 500 mph, and its range is just shy of 3,000 miles. The engine’s increased thrust also enables this $16 million aircraft to climb to a cruising altitude of 37,000 feet in just 17 minutes.
