  • Private jet interior by Versace.
<< Back to Robb Report, October 2006

Gianni Versace Spa (www.versace.com) could make private aviation even more fashionable. The firm—which in recent years has expanded from haute couture into watches, jewelry, pens, fragrances, and home furnishings—will customize the interiors of private jets with assistance from the TAG Group, the parent company of the aircraft charter operator TAG Aviation (www.tagaviation .com). Versace will create interiors mainly for large aircraft, including the Gulfstream G550, the Bombardier Global Express, and the Boeing Business Jet, while TAG (a Robb Report Best of the Best honoree this year) will implement the designs. “No two jets will be the same,” says Versace creative director Donatella Versace. “This is a genuine bespoke service. In many ways, it reminds me of how we work on couture, striving to create a sense of well-being and comfort.” The interiors will be priced at about $10 million, depending on jet size and amenities.
