Best Of The Best 2006: Home Aweigh From Home

  • Michael Schulze

Designers Stefano Righini and Carlo Galeazzi have conceived the Azimut 105 as a roomy, elegant extension of its owner’s home. This stylish vessel, priced from about $9.3 million, has spacious outside areas and wide, wraparound windows on both decks. Inside, Galeazzi has included furnishings that you would expect to find in a home, including freestanding sofas, high-backed armchairs, and long, flowing drapes.

The first iteration of this boat debuted in Europe last fall; in February, for the American market, Azimut introduced a new, more attractive design with rounded corners, softer lighting, and richer colors.
