Best Of The Best 2006: Rare Bird

The Harley-Davidson FLSTFSE2 CVO Screamin’ Eagle Fat Boy ($28,500) is the latest offering from the company’s Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) division, which has been creating limited-edition, highly modified versions of Harley’s production machines since 1999.

The CVO Fat Boy features a 103 cu in V-twin that generates a stump-pulling 96 ft lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm. Harley’s customizing crew has dropped the already low-profile Fat Boy even closer to the ground and added such aftermarket components as braided stainless steel control lines and 17-inch Road Winder wheels with 140 mm of tire on the front and 200 mm on the rear. The CVO Fat Boy also comes with copious amounts of chrome and a lavish custom paint job accented with metal grind touches.
