The Mulder Favorite (+31.71.561.2325, www.jachtwerfmulder.nl) is a series of five models—the 1300 (44 feet), 1400 (48 feet), 1500 (51 feet), 1600 (54 feet), and 1800 (61 feet)—that are based on the designs of the Favorite line that the Dutch builder introduced in the 1950s. These new cruisers share the smooth lines and steep bow of the vintage models, but with hulls and superstructures made of aluminum, they are lighter, and they are faster. When equipped with the optional twin 435 hp engines, the 1400 model, which has a base price just above $1 million, can reach a top speed of 33 knots.
The aft deck on all five Favorite models offers exterior seating, and the wheelhouse includes a spacious dining area beside the helm station. Belowdecks, the Favorite boats have a kitchen and berths that can sleep as many as four people.
