Cigarette’s 2012 Models Ignite a Need for Speed

Just in time for boating season, world-renowned powerboat manufacturer Cigarette Racing Team has introduced a pair of new models to its lineup: the 42-foot Huntress, an all-new center-console model; and the 38-foot Top Gun 90+ MPH, the latest iteration in Cigarette’s Top Gun line, which has been the Opa-locka, Fla.–based company’s best-selling model since its introduction in 1987.

The 42-foot Huntress seamlessly melds Cigarette’s legendary performance with an impressive array of creature comforts. Available with either four 300 hp Mercury outboard motors or five Mercury Racing 350 hp engines, the Huntress also offers a spacious cabin with 6.5 feet of headroom and a lounge equipped with a flat-screen TV, a berth that comfortably sleeps two, a mini-galley, and a stand-up head.

For true speed junkies, the new Top Gun 90+ MPH pushes Cigarette’s performance envelope. Equipped with twin 565 hp inboard engines, the newest offering from Cigarette partner Mercury Racing, the 90+ boasts top speeds exceeding triple digits. Slick racing lines, carbon fiber trim, and a traditional Cigarette red-and-white paint scheme give the 90+ an aggressive appearance that belies its gentler amenities, including a partial berth and an upholstered belowdecks lounge. Prices for both new models are available upon request.  (305.931.4564, www.cigaretteracing.com)
