Classic Yacht Partners Commissions Two Classic-inspired Trumpy Yachts

Fractional-ownership group Classic Yacht Partners has ordered from Trumpy Yachts a 125-foot motor yacht inspired by the 1928 Trumpy named Truant, and a 138-foot sailing yacht based on John Trumpy’s personal sailboat named Sea Call. The sailing yacht design was further developed by grandson Johan Trumpy, Trumpy’s CEO Jim Ewing and Jim Langan of Langan Design. Both yachts feature full-beam master suites, tender wells that convert to lap pools, a ’20s-style smokestack that converts to a sun deck and hot tub, a convertible helipad, expansive decks with numerous bars for large group events, guest cabins that convert to VIP suites, wine cellars, and libraries with fireplaces.

Cost per Classic Yacht Partners member is approximately $1 million per yacht. Each partner gets 25 days, and 5 conditional bonus days, onboard. The group’s managing partner, Alex Suarez, believes members will choose to become owners of both the sailing and the motor yachts. Turkey-based Vicem is building the boats for Trumpy.
