Feadship’s Latest Launch Made for Steve Jobs

  • Danielle Cutler

Feadship has launched a sleek, minimalist 256-foot (78.2-meter) all-aluminum, fully custom motor yacht named Venus from its yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. And while this is as much information as the builder would provide, articles on reputable yachting blogs have named Apple’s late founder Steve Jobs as the client who commissioned this innovative megayacht. Walter Isaacson’s biography on Jobs details a yacht in build, and CBS News reported that Venus is the yacht Jobs commissioned, with a design from Philippe Starck and an interview with Starck’s design firm to back that up. Robb Report will expand coverage on this inventive yacht as information becomes available. (www.feadship.nl)
