FrontRunners: Fast Feline

With a 35-knot top speed and clean exterior lines, the Leopard 43m (www.leopardyachts.it) looks and travels like a sporty, svelte cruiser. At the same time, its spacious flybridge and sleek, well-configured cabins—dressed with dark woods and white leather upholstery—give passengers the sense that they are aboard a vessel that is much larger than 141 feet (43 meters). Leopard Yachts, which is based in Pisa, Italy, launched the 43m earlier this year to fill the gap between its existing 112- and 151-foot models. The yacht can accommodate as many as nine guests and seven crew members. Pricing for the semicustom vessel is available upon request from Leopard, which offers whole- and fractional-ownership programs.
