FrontRunners: Loaded Gun

  • Revolver 42

Italian boatbuilder Revolver designed its inaugural model, the Revolver 42 (www.revolverboats.com), as something of a crossover between powerboats and weekend cruisers. Powerboat fans might recognize the sleek lines of the 42-footer, which was penned by Michael Peters, the celebrated designer behind a number of racing boats and production models from Magnum and Cigarette. Also recalling racing vessels are the boat’s twin 662 hp supercharged Mercury inboard motors and its 70-knot top speed. But with customizable interior spaces that can include a galley, head, and sleeping quarters for two guests, the Revolver 42 offers cruiser-style comforts and is well-suited for overnight excursions. Pricing for the boat, which launched in September, starts around $1.2 million.
