Catamarans have come a long way in terms of their appeal as pleasure vessels, and Taiwanese shipbuilder Horizon Yacht takes them a step further with its newest model, the PC58—the yard’s first foray into the category. The dual hulls of the nearly 60-foot-long boat provide the PC58 with a beam of 24.5 feet, which is more akin to that of a 100-footer. This gives the boat plenty of space for entertaining, as well as a roomy flybridge with enough capacity to stow a RIB and still offer room for alfresco dining. But the biggest benefits of the catamaran’s spaciousness can be found inside the yacht. The owners of the first PC58, for example, placed a granite-topped bar-and-galley area aft with space for seating and dining forward. This arrangement accentuates the ampleness of the yacht’s interior, which is styled in such a way as to impart a casual and welcoming feel.
