Sanlorenzo Debuts Two New SD92’s

  • Danielle Cutler Wallin

Italian yacht builder Sanlorenzo has launched two 89-foot navettas, Lady Jane and Genie 2, the SD92 line’s 10th and 11th hulls. Splashing within a week of each other in April, both yachts are built in GRP composite and feature exterior styling from Francesco Paszkowski. Genie 2 sports a metallic hull, the first from the Viareggio builder. London-based Stephen Huish designed Lady Jane’s interior, and Sanlorenzo’s Tiziana Vercellesi created Genie 2’s. Both vessels boast a 23-foot beam, providing room for four staterooms to accommodate eight guests, plus two cabins for four crew. Two MAN V12 CR 1200 engines power the navettas to a top speed of 17 knots and give a range of 2,000 nautical miles at cruise speed. Sanlorenzo’s SD92 line of semi-displacement navetta-style yachts originally debuted in 2007, with inspiration provided by the transatlantic liners of the 1930s.
