MEN220 ($4,500)
This McIntosh two-channel room correction and equalization processor utilizes technology penned by the audio correction mastermind, Peter Lyngdorf. That technology, dubbed RoomPerfect, employs software that generates a digital model of the listening environment to detect and correct the frequency peaks and dips caused by room designs that do not provide ideal acoustic spaces. The MEN220 also offers the ability to customize equalizer response curves, in addition to a two-way crossover feature that facilitates powering any speaker with dual amps. This unique processor will seamlessly adapt any two-channel system to virtually any environment. (607.723.3512, www.mcintoshlabs.com)
