Fashion Flash: Allegri’s Jersey Peacoat

Allegri, known for its innovative performance outerwear fabrics, is at it again with a new jacket for fall: the Milano jersey peacoat, a two-ply wool jersey with a tight knit construction that gives the coat the feel of a heavy sweater with the silhouette of a tailored blazer ($795). The new jacket is not only warm, it is also water-resistant, featuring a treatment that uses a thin layer of Teflon coating to repel water and stains, but which does not impact the fabric’s natural look, feel, or finish. Allegri’s Milano Jersey peacoat was unveiled this month. (www.allegri.com)
