Fashion Flash: Brioni’s Golden Suit

For the man who has everything, Brioni has created an exclusive fabric woven with 24-karat gold thread that is being used for a series of limited-edition three-piece suits. The delicate gold threads are carefully knit into the pinstripes of Super 210s wool, producing a subtle metallic sheen that, from a distance, gives the garment a soft satinlike appearance. The $20,000 suit is available in Brioni’s supertrim Brunico silhouette, featuring a high-notched and narrow lapel, a shorter jacket, and higher-positioned buttons; less canvasing in the front panels contributes to a softer construction. A select amount of the 24-karat gold fabric has been set aside for made-to-measure orders. (888.778.8775, www.brioni.com)
