Fashion Flash: Yves Saint Laurent’s Waterproof Loafers

It’s hard to look polished in wet weather when your only option is a clunky pair of rain boots. But leave it to Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) to create a stylish water-resistant option: a pair of rubber loafers masked as patent leather dress shoes (approximately $300). The new shoes feature YSL’s classic loafer shape and come in bold blue and red versions for a youthful, modern twist (thanks, in part, to the historic fashion house’s new head designer, Hedi Slimane); they are also available in more subdued tones, like olive, gray, and black.
