FrontRunners: Waist of Time

Using haute horlogerie mechanics in its designs, Roland Iten Mechanical Luxury has created such men’s fashion accessories as a titanium credit-card dispenser and solid white-, black-, or rose-gold cuff links that eject a diamond-encrusted bullet. Most recently, the Swiss company collaborated with Bugatti Automobiles to design the Roland Iten R22 Mk.1-22mm "Bugatti edition" (www.rolanditen.com), an $85,890 belt buckle limited to 22 examples. Côtes de Genève–style decoration adorns the buckle’s case and hood. A rotating, friction-controlled TW VVS+ diamond pin holds the buckle mechanism in place, ensuring a precise, customizable waistline fit.
