Lana Marks Unveils Exotic-Skin Men’s Accessories

  • William Kissel

Lana Marks, known for luxurious alligator handbags and accessories, is finally giving the green light to a new collection of men’s exotic-skin leather goods, which was introduced at the designer’s new shop in Shanghai, China, for fall.

“This new men’s collection has been in the works since we opened our first freestanding store in Beijing a year ago,” says the Palm Beach–based designer, noting how the idea emerged with the realization that men’s leather goods generally keep pace with women’s in China. That prompted her to create a capsule collection offering five messenger-like shoulder bags, wallets, and other leather goods targeted specifically toward men. Prices range from $1,000 to $15,000. Produced entirely in Italy and customizable in ostrich, alligator, and other skins, each piece is offered in an array of colors and includes newly designed logo hardware in keeping with the collection’s masculine aesthetic.
