Leather Goods: Zilli

  • Kiton featherweight cotton sport shirt, from $450; Italo Ferretti silk ties, starting at $185 each; Zilli blue alligator briefcase, $22,000; and Silvano Lattanzi custom-made leather shoe with medallion detail, $5,300 per pair.

Zilli is well known for its handmade outerwear fashioned from the skins of python, ostrich, deer, and crocodile, so it is only fitting that the Paris-based company would create impressive accessories from exotic leather. Handmade in France by artisans, Zilli’s newly expanded series of bags, belts, wallets, and small leather goods are produced from the finest skins, and, like all Zilli products, they are rich in detail. Bags and wallets in the recently launched Boomerang collection, for example, are produced from ultrasoft kangaroo hide and finished with stitching designed to echo the Art Deco–inspired linings found on many of the company’s jackets.
