Stefano Ricci

Fashion designer Stefano Ricci—famous for his colorful silk neckwear, fancifully detailed shirts, and exotic-skin outerwear—has finally fulfilled his long-held plan to launch a comprehensive sportswear collection. Designed by Ricci and son Filippo, the new line includes shirts, knitwear, footwear, trousers, outerwear, accessories, and even jeans. Altogether the pieces round out Ricci’s vision of a lifestyle brand that caters to worldly clients who appreciate premium skins, fine fabrics, and exceptional attention to detail.

Ricci not only creates his own fabrics and prints, but also carefully selects the skins for his stylized, often unconventional, pieces. Among such items are suede blousons embossed to resemble ostrich, and exotic-skin jackets hand-sewn like fabrics rather than leather goods. Ricci’s distinctive flair is evident in his new tailored blazers, which are adorned with buttons made from semiprecious stones and lined with the patterned silk used in the brand’s neckties
