The Manhattan Man’s Latest Oasis

When Charles Hall, the vice president of sales and marketing for Hommage, wants an end-of-week indulgence, he gets the Ultimate Facial at Manhattan’s latest spot for men’s grooming, Hommage Atelier. The $250 black diamond exfoliation, followed by a lymphatic drainage, an acupressure massage, and a black silt mask, was just one of many signature treatments unveiled at the grand opening of Hommage’s Madison Avenue penthouse suite on April 4. Treatments range from a $50 hand massage to a $650 haircut from Julien Farel, which includes a shoulder, neck, and head massage, and may be tailored to clients’ requests.

Hommage Atelier is a partnership between men’s skin-care and grooming line Hommage, and venerable New York hair stylist Julien Farel. The space was designed for the modern man, equipped with LED TV screens, fireside premium bar service, iPads, a private VIP service room, and original paintings for sale through Lincoln Center. Memberships are also available, with benefits such as an engraved shave set, reduced pricing on treatments, and invitations to at Hommage Atelier events. (212.752.2100, www.hommage.com/atelier)
