Tumi’s New Transformational Luggage

The luggage company Tumi has collaborated with designer and architect Dror Benshetrit on a new collection of transformable luggage that expands and changes shape to provide different functions and uses. In Tumi stores this month, the 11-piece Dror for Tumi collection ($195 to $895) includes inventive ideas like a two-wheel hard-side carry-on bag with an adjustable hinge so the bag can expand from 9 to 14 inches in depth, increasing its capacity by 98 percent. The collection also features a backpack with interchangeable, adjustable straps so it can also be worn as a tote or a briefcase. Designed to meet today’s travel needs, many pieces fit the carry-on dimension requirements while serving multiple purposes. (www.tumi.com)
