Michel Cluizel, the French chocolate house, has created the ultimate chocolate gift for the holidays. It features 400 pieces of handmade chocolate (weighing in at almost 10 pounds) in specially designed packages for $895.  Chocolate lovers can customize their box, choosing from a variety of luscious treats, including the crème brûlée made of ganache with caramelized butter; palet framboise featuring dark chocolate ganache and raspberry pulp; palet passion made with milk chocolate ganache and passion-fruit pulp; and palet au miel, which combines ganache with chestnut honey.

The family-owned business was established in 1948 in the family’s Normandy attic, where they made truffles. Today, the family imports fair-trade cocoa beans to its Normandy workshop, where a team of 200 employees prepare the delicacies by roasting the cocoa beans then shelling them into cocoa nib to make the chocolates.
