Tickets are still available for the November 17 dinner at San Diego’s Grand Del Mar hotel’s restaurant Addison. The exclusive evening for 75 people will benefit the Bocuse d’Or USA Foundation, which grants aspiring chefs internships and scholarships. The event will begin with Champagne and small bites that include skewers of squid and chorizo and gougères (savory pastries) stuffed with smoked bacon and sherry. The six-course prix-fixe meal ($300) will feature Maine crab with tangerine, fennel, and vanilla; glazed chicken thighs served with red-wine risotto, aged parmesan cheese, and white truffles; licorice-roasted endive with apples; and more.

Ten guests will have the exclusive opportunity to dine at Addison’s chef table for the evening, where they can watch the chefs at work ($6,000 for the table). They will also get a special wine pairing with the meal and will take home a gift. All guests in the restaurant will receive the menu, signed by all chefs. (858.314.1900, www.addisondelmar.com)
