Meadowood Kicks Off Its 12-Day Holiday Feast

Meadowood Napa Valley has assembled an array of chefs to participate in its annual Twelve Days of Christmas dinner series. On 12 evenings from December 7 to 22, the hotel’s Chef Christopher Kostow will team up with one of 12 different culinary professionals to create an exclusive, holiday-inspired meal for 60 guests.

For its fifth year, the series will feature a diverse range of chefs from around the world—including David Toutain of Agapé Substance in Paris and Matthias Merges of Yusho in Chicago—who will contribute to an eclectic mix of dishes. Menus are still in the works, but—following last year’s lead—guests can expect items like whipped foie gras with dried plum, sweetbreads served with handmade potato gnocchi and truffles, and lamb prepared in a Cabernet brine and served with andouille flan. Each meal will begin with a sparkling wine reception and feature wine pairings by course from one of 12 local vintners, including Spottswoode Estate Vineyard & Winery, Colgin Cellars, and Araujo Estate.

Each dinner is priced from $1,240 per couple and includes one night’s stay at the hotel as well as a donation to Share Our Strength, which aims to end childhood hunger in America by 2015.
