FrontRunners: Chimepiece

When Harry Winston (www.harrywinston.com) recently opened its first London store on New Bond Street, it also unveiled the limited-edition Westminster Tourbillon. With the passing of each quarter-hour, the watch chimes the same four notes sounded by the clock tower at Westminster Cathedral. The watch’s flying tourbillon, which appears to float within the dial, charms the eye, as does the open-works design that allows you to view four hammers striking the notes. Harry Winston is producing eight pieces in rose gold ($428,000 each), eight pieces in white gold ($437,400), and one high-jewelry piece set with baguette diamonds($558,300).
