FrontRunners: Nice Going

Visitors to Nice, France, have a new venue for surveying the action along the Riviera, at the Palais de la Mediterranee (www.lepalaisdelamediterranee.com). Although the rebuilt landmark opened in 2004, it only recently unveiled its largest accommodation. Suite 927, with a 1,292-square-foot interior and a 538-square-foot terrace, offers a fine view of the Promenade des Anglais and the Baie des Anges. The room’s gadgetry includes two plasma TVs, Wi-Fi, and an espresso machine. Rates range from about $1,800 to about $3,500. . . .
