FrontRunners: Promising Results

Audemars Piguet (888.214.6858, www.audemarspiguet.com) has high hopes that its new Promesse women’s watch collection will help raise more than $1.5 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The Swiss watchmaker has teamed with Estée Lauder and lifestyle guru Colin Cowie to launch the latest Promesse watches at a series of 10 fundraising events across the United States beginning this fall and running into spring.

The latest incarnation of the Promesse is a scaled-down version of the original with a distinctive mother-of-pearl dial and exaggerated pavé diamond numerals. Each timepiece will come packaged in a limited edition Colin Cowie handbag that was created especially for the watches. For its part, Estée Lauder has designed a collection of limited edition jeweled compacts that complement the watches and will be sold exclusively at the fundraising events.
