FrontRunners: Select Smoke

The Editors

Cigar smokers consider age a blessing, so they may well deem the León Jimenes 300 Series a near-miracle. The cigar, created to celebrate the brand’s 20th anniversary, is crafted from tobaccos fermented and aged in oak barrels for three years. The cigars themselves are aged for another 300 days to ensure that the flavors of the Dominican and Nicaraguan filler leaves, Dominican binder, and Cameroon wrapper blend fully. The León Jimenes is heavy-bodied yet easy-smoking, initially delivering a peppery bite but soon becoming smooth and flavorful. In addition to the robusto shown here, the cigar is available in No. 4, Churchill, and belicoso sizes. (Up to $202 for a box of 25) www?.laaurora.com.do

The new Ysenberg Stretch ashtray marries an antique elegance with a boldly modern graphic design. Made of black crystal with a labyrinthine 24-carat-gold inlay pattern, the Stretch pictured here features a removable sterling-silver cradle to hold your cigar. ($2,870) www.ysenberg.com
