FrontRunners: Shoe Strings

  • William Kissel

Longtime competitors Ermenegildo Zegna and Salvatore Ferragamo, two of Italy’s most prominent fashion dynasties, have formed a remarkable joint venture to launch a shoe collection that will carry the Zegna (888.880.3462, www.zegna.com) label. The new designs—which range from sport models priced from $195 to dress shoes for $545—combine the sporty spirit of Zegna clothing with the comfort and performance of Ferragamo footwear.
