Artistic Hors d’Oeuvres

Napa Valley’s Newton Vineyard, widely known for its unfiltered wines, has teamed up with Chicago-based, contemporary American designers Stephanie and Bruce Tharp to create a limited-edition serving tray. Entitled “Puzzle,” the $499 tray features removable blocks that double as coasters when serving wine or other beverages. The exposed recessed areas then reveal a hidden corkscrew or hold a wine bottle or sides of accompanying nuts, charcuterie, mustards, and various other hors d’oeuvres. Beveled edges in the Midwestern-sourced walnut wood represent the terraced slopes of Newton Vineyard’s Spring Mountain location, and the 112 available trays reference the winery’s 112 vineyard blocks.
