Belgian Furniture Maker Debuts in New York

Notable Belgian furniture maker Massant will debut its new outdoor furniture collection at Lars Bolander on East 59th Street in August. The Garden Collection comprises 40 pieces ($1,400 to $12,680), in 18th-century French style, made with tools from the period. The pieces are offered in either oiled or natural teak with customizable outdoor fabrics. Some pieces are influenced by historic references, such as the stylish Georges Jacob sofa, with its rectilinear-style frame and pattern of crosses, which was inspired by Marie Antoinette’s dairy chair, a piece from the famous dairy farm at her castle in France.
