New Custom Parisian Embroidery from a Historic Company

Jorge Arango

Noël, a Paris-based luxury embroidery studio established in 1883, can claim Queen Elizabeth and Helena Rubenstein as clients (it wove the cradle linens for Prince Charles and created custom tablecloths for Rubenstein). Today it has boutiques in Germany, Spain, Greece, Japan, Korea, and Hong Kong, and company owner Adeline Dieudonné has been reaching out to the American market recently, offering custom embroidery of the highest quality to the carriage trade.

Designs are available by special order through Noël boutiques or through its website. Noël specializes in highly personalized service: producing exclusive and custom designs, and matching or completing heirloom pieces. Clients also can choose from a 13,000-plus archive of historic patterns. A basic bedding ensemble runs approximately $1,300, tablecloths can go up to $2,000, and towels average $175.
