Refrigerated Cabinets for the Bathroom

  • Amanda Millin

For nearly a century, Perlick Corp. has been creating high-end stainless steel refrigerators for restaurants, stadiums, grocery stores, and hotels, and seven years ago, the family-owned company started making products for private luxury residences as well. Its newest design, Refrigerated Beauty Drawers, was created specifically for use in the master bathroom. The 15-inch drawers provide a solution for storing organic and eco-friendly personal-care items (a growing industry that is projected to be worth $6.7 billion by 2015), including medicines, lotions, makeup, and hair products, many of which lack preservatives and require refrigeration to maintain shelf life. Starting at $3,000, each made-to-order drawer sits flush with existing bathroom cabinetry and has customizable wood veneers so that it is virtually undetectable. (800.558.5592, www.perlick.com)
