Stylish Furniture with a Masculine Edge

Frazier is a new furniture collection designed by Richard Frazier, who brings a masculine twist—in the form of metal detailing and hefty proportions—to periods as diverse as rococo, Art Deco, and midcentury modern. The Arts & Crafts–style Beaulieu buffet, for instance ($7,500), sports blackened iron stud details. The Deco-style Mulholland center table’s rosewood top ($9,500) is encircled by a polished brass ring. A blocky Secessionist-looking rosewood armoire is trimmed in ebony and mother-of-pearl inlay ($11,000). All of the pieces are made using handcrafted techniques such as wood inlay and brass etching, as well as precious hardwoods from around the world. The collection is sold exclusively in the newly opened Frazier showroom in the New York Design Center. (212.447.4444, www.fraziercollection.com)
