FrontRunners: Greatest Hit

Striking in its simplicity and purity of form, the Cartier Juste un Clou collection (www.cartier.com) revives Aldo Cipullo’s industrial nail designs in a series of 18-karat-gold rings and bracelets. Cipullo, a Cartier staff designer, created the original collection (the name of which translates to "Just a Nail" rel="nofollow" ) for Cartier New York in the 1970s. His pieces, which are intended to capture the raw and daring spirit of Manhattan during that era, have become popular items in the secondary market. The new renditions, priced from $2,175 for rose- or yellow-gold rings to $34,650 for a large bracelet with pavé diamonds, are available in select Cartier stores.
