Lugano’s Butterfly Takes Flight

Lugano Diamonds has unveiled a unique one-of-a-kind butterfly ring that exemplifies its ability to envision age-old diamonds in new, artistic forms. The butterfly ring ($8,600), designed by company president Moti Ferder, combines thinly sliced rough diamonds framed by faceted pink diamonds in the form of wings and set atop an 18-karat yellow, rose, and black gold branch design. The ring even has an articulated oscillating antenna finished with briolette-cut diamonds. This is just one piece in a series of designs featuring diamond slices combined with colored diamonds in elaborate rings from the Newport Beach, Calif. Company.
