Arizona Biltmore Will Host State’s Inaugural Concours d’Elegance
The Phoenix/Scottsdale area is famous for its array of collector-automobile auctions every January. Now for the first time a world-class Concours d’Elegance will kick off the week-long annual event. The legendary Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, the historic grand dame of Phoenix heralded for its Frank Lloyd Wright architecture, will host the inaugural Arizona Concours d’Elegance on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
Modeled after such great Concours as Pebble Beach, California, and Villa d’Este, Italy, the Arizona Concours d’Elegance will feature more than 75 exceptional automobiles — in classes ranging from vintage and classic to sports, racing and exotics — on display on the Biltmore’s beautiful Squaw Peak Lawn. Concours judges will pore over each entry to pick the class winners as well as the coveted Best of Show.
Advance tickets are $50 through December 31, 2013. At the event, tickets are $75. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Arizona. The Arizona Biltmore is offering attendees a special room rate.
