Benetti Unveils Ocean Paradise, 55 Meters of Zen Yachting
From the Robb Report Luxury Newswire
The Benetti Ocean Paradise was recently launched at the Benetti Livorno yard. The motor yacht will make its world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show 2013, from September 25 to 28.
Composed of aluminum and steel, this 55-meter vessel is based on a tested Benetti platform, yet it is rich with innovations, especially with regards to partitioning and interior design. Many of the innovations aboard Ocean Paradise have been developed by the yard's technicians and designers based on specific requests by the owner, a dynamic young businessman from Singapore, who was always closely involved in the phases of design and construction. Minimalist, but never cold, and always connected with the sea: These were some of the guidelines given by the owner for the development of this project.
The Benetti Ocean Paradise was conceived to meet the needs of charter activities, but it is characterized by several notable one-of-a-kind elements. From the furnishings to the highly elaborate illumination plan, Ocean Paradise is a showcase of custom design and novel architectural solutions. The combination of both transparent and opaque materials emphasizes the traditional relationship with the sea. The owner, who also has interests in interior design, wanted to create a natural and relaxing atmosphere, complete with onboard Zen gardens. In bringing the natural greenery of plants aboard, Ocean Paradise gains a particularly eclectic atmosphere.
There are four guest cabins, all located on the lower deck, with access from a central hall connected to the main deck foyer. Each cabin has its own spacious bath, and a view of the sea is guaranteed by ample portholes. The Owner's suite is located on the forward portion of the main deck, stretches the full width of the yacht, and includes a side terrace.
